PIANO & OTHER INSTRUMENTS
Studied since 1990; instructors include Dr. Dylan Savage, Anna Brock, Keith Denson, Dr. Alex Hagenbart, and Debra Greene; 5 consecutive Superior ratings at piano festivals; won and placed at various local and national talent competitions; accompanist and soloist for various groups and events
Mandolin - studied since 1997 with Ben Cockman and Brent Rochester, performed with groups and theater productions
Percussion - studied since 2002 with UNCC music staff; performed as part of ensembles
Recorder - studied since 2004, self-taught; used in educational settings
Guitar - studied since 2009, self-taught; performed as accompaniment to solo work.
VOICE
Began singing as a featured soloist with family's Gospel group at age 3; participated in church children's, youth and adult choirs, including as a featured soloist; won and placed in local, regional and national talent competitions as a vocalist; studied privately since 1998 with Professor Jane Dillard and Allison Durham; performed roles in community theater and college musical and opera productions, including Camelot, The Secret Garden, Oliver!, South Pacific, Flower Drum Song, St. Nicholas, and The Marriage of Figaro; member of Hickory Choral Society from 2007-2009
DRAMA & THEATER
Performed in church, community, and college productions, including musicals, mysteries, dramas, and comedies; Wrote skits and short plays for church and community theater use since 1994; Student Director for Lincoln Theatre Guild's annual Drama Camp 1998-2000; Musical Director, Fiddler on the Roof at Gaston Day School 2001; Substitute Accompanist for Junk at Hickory Community Theater 2017
